Independent plumbers, mechanical contractors, and individual homeowners turn to PDI for their renown kitchen, bath, and lighting products and expertise. They also count on PDI for an exceptional experience as a customer, even when it comes to paying an invoice.
Consumers have had access to time and money-saving bill aggregation sites for a number of years: Instead of writing individual checks to pay their bills, consumers can log in to a single website -? a bill aggregator -? and pay their bills online, taking advantage of a simpler, more convenient process. But until recently, small business owners who prefer to handle invoice receipt and bill paying online had to log onto multiple vendor sites -? each with its own platform and log-in protocol -? to receive and pay business invoices electronically. That all changed in 2012 when billing and payment industry leader Billtrust launched Invoice Central, an open business invoice network that gives companies a way to consolidate invoice receipt, payment processing and tracking on one user-friendly portal.
The Roestel family has been plumbing for a generation. 360 Plumbing, the family business in North Bend, Washington, does light commercial and some residential work. Its revenues have grown almost 50% the past two years. The operation consists of Nic Roestel, his father, his uncle (360’s president, who goes out on jobs “whenever we need the help,” says Nic), and two apprentices. Nic Roestel began going out on jobs with his father when he was 12. After two years of college, he decided to go into the family business full time. What he hadn’t counted on was the “paperwork nightmare — mounds of paper everywhere.”
Billtrust has released the launch of Invoice Central, a cloud-based business invoice network aiming to streamline invoice delivery and payment for vendors and small businesses in the electrical industry. Invoice Central offers a hub-based approach for invoice management, helping small business owners avoid late fees, maximize early-pay discounts and save time by scheduling reminders and future payments, says Billtrust. Businesses are able to access invoices from multiple vendors with a single login to a central site.
