Hamilton, NJ-(March 15, 2016)- Invoice Central has announced that it has become a Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accredited Business, confirming the B2B billing and payments network meets the BBB’s rigorous and objective standards for ethics.
In making today’s announcement, Paul Harrison, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Invoice Central, explained, “Our approval as a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business is a validation of our ethical business practices with our vendors and their customers. Thousands of businesses we serve–electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors, building supply and construction companies–are BBB Accredited Businesses. They derive great benefit as the BBB affirms their integrity in dealing with the public. We felt a responsibility to join them in accreditation by this great organization. We are committed to living up to the high standards they have set. Earning and maintaining the trust of business partners is essential to everything we do. We are very pleased to become accredited by the Better Business Bureau and affirm our commitment to honesty and integrity.”
Explaining BBB Accreditation, Melissa Companick, President and CEO of Better Business Bureau Serving New Jersey, “BBB Accreditation is an honor – and not every business is eligible. Businesses that meet our high standards are invited to join BBB. Businesses deemed to meet Accreditation Standards are presented to the BBB’s Board for review and acceptance as a BBB Accredited Business. All BBB Accredited Businesses have agreed to live up to our Standards for Trust, a comprehensive set of best practices for how businesses should treat the public in a fair and honest manner. BBB evaluates businesses against our standards – and our standards clearly speak to the character and competence of an organization.”
For more than 100 years, the nonprofit Better Business Bureau has been helping people find businesses, brands and charities they can trust. Consumers have had access to time and money-saving bill aggregation sites for a number of years: Instead of writing individual checks to pay their bills, consumers can log in to a single website -? a bill aggregator -? and pay their bills online, taking advantage of a simpler, more convenient process. But until recently, small business owners who prefer to handle invoice receipt and bill paying online had to log onto multiple vendor sites -? each with its own platform and log-in protocol -? to receive and pay business invoices electronically. That all changed in 2012 when billing and payment industry leader Billtrust launched Invoice Central, an open business invoice network that gives companies a way to consolidate invoice receipt, payment processing and tracking on one user-friendly portal.
The Roestel family has been plumbing for a generation. 360 Plumbing, the family business in North Bend, Washington, does light commercial and some residential work. Its revenues have grown almost 50% the past two years. The operation consists of Nic Roestel, his father, his uncle (360’s president, who goes out on jobs “whenever we need the help,” says Nic), and two apprentices. Nic Roestel began going out on jobs with his father when he was 12. After two years of college, he decided to go into the family business full time. What he hadn’t counted on was the “paperwork nightmare — mounds of paper everywhere.”
